Master Gardener clinic set for April 1 The Washington State University Master Gardener’s Plant Problem Clinic will be open every Monday through September starting April 1. The clinic always begins at 1 p.m. and ends at 4 p.m. The clinics will be held at the Community Development Office, 621 Sheridan St. in Port Townsend. Attendees will learn about how to prevent insects or pathogens from destroying their plants, with certified Master Gardeners available to answer questions or provide free advice. Broadcast of NPR’s “Says You!” set for April 7 The Jefferson Clemente Foundation, a nonprofit education organization, will team up with National Public Radio’s “Says You!” for a live show at 4 p.m. April 7 at the Chimacum High School auditorium, 91 W. Valley Road in Chimacum. The show will be broadcast nationally, according to a news release. “Says You!” is a 23-year-old quiz show that airs weekly on 86 stations from coast to coast. Tickets are available online at https://www.brownpapertickets.com/event/4099235. Proceeds from this performance will help fund the Jefferson Clemente Course in the Humanities — a free, college-level humanities course for low-income adults in Jefferson County. The Jefferson Clemente Course empowers students to further their education and careers by providing access to cultural, educational, and economic opportunities, according to the news release. The benefit will also help the Jefferson Clemente Foundation increase programming to serve a broader demographic, according to the release. For more information, visit www.jeffersonclemente.org.
