Are you happy?

Are you happy when you drive into our beautiful community and are faced with the crazy lines painted on the street that you can hardly figure out? Are you happy with the faux planters filled with plants that look like weeds and have replaced several parking places? Are you happy when you want to go shopping and you discover the nearest parking place is in Port Hadlock? And hey, what about our new plaza that effectively took over eight to ten parking spaces, and oh yeah, how about the faux planters that have turned into ash trays because the city has never finished them? Do you look forward to going to the Building Department for a permit believing that is what you need for your final inspection only to discover that the new inspector says not so fast, and then adds a few more thousand to complete your project...moving right along to my personal favorite. It warms my heart that a few council members will “appoint” my mayor from their ranks...council members that I don’t even know, and did not vote for. Smells like taxation without representation to me, and it does not make me happy. Do not despair, don’t worry, be happy. We have been handed a truly great opportunity. We have a new city manager coming on board, and several council seats that we will be able to vote on. So what’s it going to be? Let’s vote, and take back our town...That’s why I’m voting for Monica Mick-Hager, and I encourage you to join me, these opportunities are rare, then let’s have a serious talk about term limits.
