The application process for the Peninsula College Foundation has opened for scholarships that will be awarded to students attending the school in the 2021-2022 academic year.
The foundation will be offering more than $100,000 in scholarships.
A large number of scholarships are available for students in the healthcare field, and also for welding, cybersecurity and IT, multimedia communications, criminal justice, the sciences, education, language arts, journalism, music, business administration, and more.
Criteria for awards varies, according to the college, and the scholarships will support financial need, academic achievement, area and tribal students, first-generation college students, and more. Application deadlines vary, but most are due by Sunday, April 18.
To apply for Peninsula College Foundation scholarships, visit www.theWashBoard.org.
Applicants can create a login and a personal profile, or update an existing profile. A list of all available scholarships can be found by entering “Peninsula College” in the search toolbar.
Students are encouraged to start the process early as many scholarships require letters of recommendation, personal essays, and unofficial transcripts.
Applications that are incomplete or submitted after the scholarship deadline will not be accepted.
Award notifications for general scholarships will be provided to applicants beginning May 17. Applicants for nursing scholarships will be notified beginning July 26.
