The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office received 198 calls for service between Saturday, Jan. 8 and Friday, Jan. 14. Below are selected reports.

At 2:01 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 11 in Port Hadlock, a man said he had been threatened by another man who said he was going to come over that night and beat him up.

Authorities determined there was an ongoing issue between the two men. The caller said the man who made the threats had repeatedly kissed his girlfriend and he did not want him at his residence. He said he was going to defend himself when he shows up.

The caller was told to contact 911 if the man did show up, and to use common sense about defending himself.

At 10:54 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 11 in Port Hadlock, a shop was burglarized.

The resident discovered a lock had been pried off and his shop had been entered. He suspected his ex-wife.

He could not find anything missing. He also said his ex-wife was at the home earlier that day, removing her belongings with the help of friends, and that they may have gone into the shop.

At 11:05 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 12 in Sequim, an intruder used a saw to cut through a side door and burglarize a home.

Items valued at $3,000 were missing. The stolen items included 30 storage totes that contained antiques.

The burglar also started cutting apart wiring in the home so that could be taken, as well.

At 12:39 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 12 in Brinnon, a suspicious white van was seen parked near power lines by the side of the road. People were coming out of the bushes, and banging noises could be heard.

At 1:44 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 12 in Port Hadlock, a resident said copper pipes and tubing had been stolen from underneath the home.

A deputy called back but had to leave a recorded message.

At 3:53 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 12 in Port Hadlock, a burglary was reported at the boat school and small tools were missing.

An employee noticed the burglary in the upper canvas building.

The tools were later found in a different location.

A bicycle was also believed to have been stolen, but dispatchers asked that the owner of the bike report the theft.
