Jefferson County public health officials reported a new case of COVID-19 was confirmed Wednesday in Port Townsend.
The additional infection pushed the total number of confirmed coronavirus cases in Jefferson County to 476 Wednesday.
Jefferson County Public Health does not provide information on individual cases, but a review of updated case reports — compared to previous case information — indicate the new infection involves a Port Townsend man in his 30s.
Nine residents were still in isolation Wednesday due to potential COVID-19 contact.
Test results are pending for another six residents.
There have been 26,420 tests for COVID-19 in Jefferson County since the start of the pandemic, and 25,838 have resulted in negative results.
In Jefferson County, 441 people have recovered from COVID-19 and 34 people have been hospitalized for the disease.
Four deaths of Jefferson County residents have been linked to COVID-19.
