Adams Street public comment period open until March 18

Posted

Members of the public are invited to comment on the future of the long-closed section of Adams Street after months of the back and forth at Port Townsend City Council.

The city is asking citizens two questions:

How would you prefer this block of Adams Street to be in the future: re-opened to all vehicles or open for pedestrians and bicycles only?

Do you have any other ideas or suggestions for the future use of this block of Adams Street?

Comments will be collected until March 18 and can be made directly to City of Port Townsend Civil Engineer Laura Parsons at lparsons@cityofpt.us or 360-379-4432 or via physical comment cards available at City Hall or on the city’s website, cityofpt.us.

There is also opportunity to comment at a March 3 open house at the Port Townsend Community Center from 4:30 - 6:30 p.m., a March 5 Active Transportation Advisory Board meeting at City Hall from 4:30 - 6 p.m., and at a March 18 City Council Transportation Committee meeting in the City Council Chambers.
