2nd Annual Quilcene Fiber Festival: From Sheep to Shawl

Please join us in Worthington Park Quilcene for the 2nd Annual Fiber Festival: From Sheep to Shawl. The Quilcene Historical Museum is excited to partner with Fiber and Clay in hosting our second fiber festival - celebrating the extraordinarily diverse talents in our region. We'll have performances, live music, a food court, workshops, animals, and many vendors on 10 acres - within the 1892 Hamilton-Worthington Mansion, large meadows, the Linger Longer Stage, near the 1915 Historic Barn and inside the Quilcene Historical Museum. Learn the history, meet today's experts and crafters, find amazing holiday gifts, bring the whole family - kids will love the hands-on workshops and live animals. It will be the most exciting and unique new Fiber Festival on the peninsula!

Explore all in the newly restored Victorian mansion, museum, outdoor theatre, historic barn and ten beautiful acres. There will truly be something here for everyone - with many engaging, fun, and educational events for all ages! Lise Solvang of Fiber and Clay adds,“The Quilcene Fiber Festival will be an Experience for All. It will take you back in time, and bring you home to today. From an 1800's walking spinning wheel to today’s e-spinner, created locally. From a beautiful Gaelic tradition of Wool Waulking with song and cloth fulling to felting your own dryer balls. See a sheep being shorn, learn to knit, weave and felt, visit with local hand dyers, spinners, knitters and their beautiful wares.”

The festival begins at 10am, with plenty of free parking, courtesy of the Quilcene Historical Museum. ADA parking available behind the mansion. Service animals are welcome indoors, and on-leash pets are welcome in the park. Please keep up with us on Facebook to learn about more fun outdoor activities as we announce them. We'll see you in Worthington Park! https://www.facebook.com/quilcenefiberfestival/
