Donald's erstwhile idol, Vladimir the autocrat . . . Reminds me a lot of the late '30s and late '40s, when most of our readers were not yet born. Hitler, Stalin, Hirohito, Mussolini . . . Thousands of everyday Ukrainians and

Russians now are being callously sacrificed so that one aging dictator can get a larger page in the history books. Donald, I suspect, would suddenly have us forget those just-the-other-day photos of him shaking hands with Vladimir . . . while we were left wondering what they'd been talking about.

The cost of gasoline eventually will return to normal, but the people who are dying will be dead forever. Fathers, mothers, children, siblings, spouses . . .
