Tom, the prosecutors did not charge anyone with "insurrection" because the acts committed did not meet the criterion of "insurrection". The penalty for insurrection is much more severe, a possible fine, up to ten years in prison, and banned from holding any office under the United States.

The point is that some of the media make false claims/lies and some people just accept it as fact, thus the low opinion of the media as reflected by that Rasmussen poll.
