I am glad eateries are tenting up and trying to do the best they can. The PT mix is what many come here for. All businesses. Once again it has to be pointed out that a significant number of parking spaces are taken due to the defunding and deconstruction of the volunteer parking enforcement team, it allows people who's routine is routinely taking many customer spaces all day.

That benefits the real estate industry, and has for many years on end. Michelle of Windermere is a 20 year No Term Limit Council member and 3 time Appointed Mayor, causing much damage and financial ruin in the city budget. Same old news there. It seems not to matter to voters.

Some days now parking is not an issue. Some days it absolutely is. As we head towards recovery and parking once again becomes tighter and tighter, as it has been for years on end, the denial of this problem, ignoring studies and municipal codes, going to the heart of dysfunction of the No Term Limit Council, continues.

Appointed Mayor, Main Street (everything is GRRRRREAT!!!) and Chamber (don't make waves keep your job) are a perfect storm resulting in a toxic mix. With lots of PR.....GRRRRRREAT!!!! The Leader makes few waves. Advertisers may be some of the problem. No ads no paper.

It is the classic situation of needing to admit failures to be able to fix them. Related is the City Manager situation, John Mauro is far less qualified than represented resulting in the delay of his review which was nearly finished according to this paper months ago. He was "almost perfect" according to Michelle of Windermere.

Now this compromised tool of a City Manager is woven into the somewhat smarmy political/social scene. He will now appoint a Police Chief who from the start will know he cannot fulfill his oath of office regarding municipal codes. Mauro doesn't fulfill his job description of fully funding all departments. GRRRRRRREAT!

Fat salaries and a failing city. Year after year after year. Pre Covid, post Covid. It is GRRRRRREAT to have positive attitudes. Having a toxic base does little to really do better in the future, and now, for many.

Add to that "retired" 20 year City Manager Timmons at Fort Worden using his same play book that left decaying roads and 17 million in City Debt, while criminal investigations of some are underway and the managing entity, the FWPDA, mirrors PT problems with bad management. They would sacrifice much to maintain image. The PT ego factor. It is all related. Timmons illustrates that.

In times of universal deceit speaking the truth is a revolutionary act.
