This proposal if fantastic! What a wonderful thing Jefferson Healthcare and the Jamestown S’Klallam Tribe are proposing here. Problems don't get fixed and things don't get better unless we all can step up and work to make them so. I am so proud to be living in an area where two of our most respected institutions are working together to solve an ever growing community problem like this!

We talk a lot about solving the homeless problem, especially in places like Seattle. A very large part of the homeless problem is not lack of housing, but drug addiction and lack of viable treatment options. This keeps many of the homeless from recovering, being able to earn a living and getting off the street. And so often there are very treatable mental health issues that are making that recovery harder without the proper professional help.

I could not support this proposal more enthusiastically.
