So this the NIMBY phenomenon.

" I see all the suffering. I want people to get help, just Not In My Back Yard ".

Certain mindsets in Sequim has had problems with all kinds of things that would destroy the town. The bypass. Walmart etc.

This has gone to a different level. They are mailing fear based propoganda with pictures of junkies on the street. We have a large fragile elderly population and my people on Cedar, Spruce and many other streets have been hit hard with door knockers and immense pressure to put signs in their yards. Told they were in danger. That their property values would fall. Told lies.

They have raised 100,000$ to sue our City.

Think what that money could do.

In the spirit of that gesture I ask her one thing.

I want her to say publicly she hopes she is wrong.
