19 artists from around the world have come together to share their work at Northwind Arts Center during the month of April.
They met through Instagram.
“I’ve been working on this [show] for a year and a half,” said Port Townsend artist Mike Biskup of “Thanks for Sharing: The Art of Instant, Global Inspiration.”
“It really started as a way to bring the world together.”
Biskup, along with four other artists from the show – Robert Hardgrave, Robert Pokorny, Tyler Keeton Robbins and brother Tim Biskup – attended opening night, Saturday, April 1, taking turns participating in a large-scale, collaborative drawing while the Biskups and friends played experimental music to add ambiance. The show was streamed worldwide via Instagram’s live streaming.
Community members are encouraged to create their own art in response to the show, and an art station is to be set up throughout the month.
