The Rotary Club of East Jefferson County has given away $11,500 in cash and prizes to the winners of the 2018 Pot of Gold raffle.
There were four first-place $2,500 winning tickets pulled. The first-place winners are John Weaver, Joan Boucher, Mike Kenna and Marianne Walters.
A $1,000 QFC gift card was given to second-place winner John Weaver. A $500 line of credit at Hadlock Building Supply was given to third-place winner, John Weaver.
About 250 people participated in the event.
After paying the winners, the money raised during the raffle — a total of about $14,000 after payouts — will be used to support the club’s scholarship awards for Chimacum High School students and for the club’s local projects such as support of the Jefferson Teen Center.
Past projects have included the Bookmobile Bus Barn at the Port Hadlock Branch of the Jefferson County Library and the Rotary Pavilion at H.J. Carroll County Park.
The club contributes about $40,000 annually to these and other local projects.
