I saw a big silver truck plastered with “Culp” political signs parked in front of the Jefferson County Democrats Headquarters on Sims Way in Port Townsend, parked just like the previous (or same?) person had done with a red truck plastered with “Culp” signs to block the public’s view of the signs promoting Democrat candidates that are placed in the windows of the Democrats’ headquarters.
What a low and pathetic way to attempt to sway voters and win an election.
Is this unfair and disrespectful mode of operation what these local Republicans want to be known for? Remember that we are judged by our actions and words. What a terrible example for all.
Fortunately most of our community members, as well as our local youth, have the good character, good principles and morals to respect others and others’ opinions when campaigning for student government and other elected positions and honors, and thus reflexively follow rules of common courtesy toward their opponents without need for an explicit law to force them to do the right things.
These particular Republican supporters have stooped so low that they dishonor their candidate and disgrace themselves.
