The access road to Fort Townsend State Park has been closed for a resurfacing project.
John Whittet, operations manager for Fort Worden State Park, said that although the access road will be closed, people will still be able to walk the trails.
Visitors to Fort Townsend State Park should keep in mind that parking is extremely limited outside the boundaries of the park.
The entrance road was closed Sunday, Sept. 27. The paving project started Monday, Sept. 28 and will continue for a minimum of four weeks.
Fort Townsend State Park is operating on a winter hours schedule, and closes at dusk. Visitors to the park are asked to clean up after themselves; pack it in, pack it out.
