The Chimacum High School Drama Performance Club presents a spinoff of the beloved Christmas song "The 12 Days of Christmas."
The play has a fun, playful resemblance to the song of the same name, but tells of the adventures of Shirley the Partridge.
Shirley is the new Christmas partridge, and her job is to round up all of the participants in "The Song," which has been a partridge family tradition for thousands of years.
Shirley faces many obstacles. The seven swans aswimmin' flew south for the winter, the three French hens are really two hens and a stubborn rooster, the four calling birds can't keep their phone lines straight, and the 11 pipers piping are nowhere to be found! Poor Shirley is faced with the dilemma of keeping with tradition or making "The Song" into something new.
The play is colorful and filled with feathery friends, and it's a great outing for families of all ages.
There are six performances over two weekends: Friday through Sunday, Dec. 11-13 and Dec. 18-20.
The show starts at 7 p.m. (doors open a half-hour before showtime) on Friday and Saturday; 5:30 p.m. on Sunday Dec. 13; and 3:30 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 20.
Admission is $5; free for children age 12 and younger. Show passes, which allow the holder to attend any and all shows, are $10.
The Chimacum High School auditorium is located at 91 W. Valley Road, Chimacum.
