Say No to Pollution, Vote Yes on I-1631

We can’t let big polluters continue to foul our air and water and pass the costs to us. It is time to make the polluters pay for their pollution, and use that money to reduce the amount of pollutants and our dependence on imported fossil fuels by investing in solar, wind, and clean energy solutions. I-1631 does just that.

Don’t be misled by the oil-funded ads, the exemptions were specifically put in place so we don’t unfairly burden Washington State companies that have to compete in other states or globally. And in the case of the Centralia coal plant, it is already slated for early closure in 2025.

The initiative has specific provisions to help low-income households, as well as to increase funding for energy efficiency programs to help us all reduce our electric bills.  I-1631 is endorsed by many small businesses, check them out on yeson1631.org.

Don’t let the fossil fuel corporations opposing this initiative buy your vote with their erroneous ads. Join me in voting YES on I-1631.
