‘Just that candidate’

Posted

I’m not in the habit of writing endorsements for candidates, however, the importance of this coming PUD Commissioner election and the significance of voting for this candidate demand scrutiny.

I have worked alongside Tom for several years in various non-profit capacities. He is a dedicated leader and thinker with practical visions for the future of our region. It is one thing to be a candidate with ideas or one who has practical experience, and it is another to have one who has both.

Tom is just that candidate. He has a vision that can be executed - and should. I have seen firsthand how he can motivate a team to accomplish goals that tangibly better our community.

He is not one just to talk the talk; he gets up and makes it happen. Our district is in the midst of real change that will require enlightened management.

If you read Tom’s platform, you will come away knowing he has examined the issues thoroughly and developed executable energy solutions for our future. His energy initiative ideas will best support our businesses and residences inequitable and responsible growth while safeguarding the environment that draws so many of us here.

As Tom outlines in his vision - communities don’t just happen! His ideas on infrastructure are fresh - and truly essential for overcoming barriers to current and future growth. His ideas are products of an innovative approach that listens to the community, examines the present and future challenges, and develops a way ahead of that best benefits all of us. We cannot afford to choose another direction.

I plan to vote for Tom Brotherton for the future of our region.
