I first met Joe Nole after I moved to Jefferson County over 15 years ago. As a community corrections officer with the Washington State Department of Corrections, I had transferred my job from the big city and was not sure what to expect from a small sheriff’s department. Joe helped me understand the community and provided valuable consultation on many cases. His investigative skills helped resolve many significant criminal cases in the county. I have watched as Joe competently handled many responsibilities, including being interim sheriff.
Since I retired, Joe has continued to be a friend. To me, he not only represents good law enforcement but shows the values of a solid community leader. He has the respect of his co-workers and their families. Joe has stepped up when called. I value his long-standing dedication and service, and will be voting for Joe Nole, Sheriff.
