LETTER: A one-state solution in Palestine

I support Kris Deweese’s comments (Leader, July 30) and add this regarding the behavior of Israel toward the Palestinians:

There is and has been curious and uncritical support of what I, and most of humanity, consider Israeli genocide against the Palestinians by our government and its politicians. This is so blatant and one-sided, I wonder who these politicians owe their allegiance to – which nation they deem sovereign?

I personally believe Israel has the right to exist, just not on Palestinian land. Jewish linguists and historians such as Arthur Koestler have done the research which proves the ancestral origins of 95 percent of the Jews in Israel today was in Khazaria, a region north of the Black Sea. Most are not even Semitic, hence the notion of “right of return” is ludicrous.

I think this alternative perspective needs airing in our press as it provides context and fresh air to the persistent Israeli spin.

My solution to the Israeli/Palestinian conflict is to allow all Israelis who wish to do so to immigrate to the U.S., and we would help them resettle using the money we currently give them to kill Palestinians. They can’t bring their nukes, which we would destroy. All who wish to stay can do so under Palestinian authority, as Palestinians would take back control of “all” their land. This, a one-state solution providing justice and peace at last.
