Religious liberty topic of free series

The Seventh-day Adventist Church in Port Townsend is offering a free series on the topic of religious liberty as revealed through the Bible and the life of the Emperor Constantine. The series is Thursday-Saturday, April 28-30.

Hosted by Voice of Prophecy speaker/director Shawn Boonstra, the series takes a documentary-style, Bible-based approach to this topic and features local moderator Glenn Gately.

Boonstra recently traveled to countries that included Serbia, Italy and Turkey to discover little-known details about Constantine. According to a press release, he was even granted rare access to a major archeological dig site on the location believed to be one of Constantine’s homes.

“This series will be an honest examination of the church and prophetic history that will answer many questions people have today,” said Boonstra. “By simply taking a fascinating trip into the past, the world we live in now will suddenly make a lot more sense.”

All attendees receive a copy of Boonstra’s new book, “Shadow Empire.”

“During ‘Shadow Empire,’ you will learn how Constantine’s impact continues to echo through the lives of every person on earth today,” said Boonstra.

The four-session series takes place at 7 p.m. on Thursday and Friday, and 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. on Saturday at the Better Living Center, 1505 Franklin St. in uptown Port Townsend. To register, call 774-6742 or visit
