Officials from the Port Townsend Police Department are asking the public for help identifying an attempted murder suspect.
Police were called at 11 p.m. Sept. 5 to the 200 block of Adams Street after it was reported a fight resulted in an attempted murder.
According to PTPD Public Information Officer Keppie Kepplinger, the victim sustained serious injury and is currently at Harborview Medical Hospital in Seattle.
“He was in pretty rough shape and couldn’t give a lot of details,” Kepplinger said. “We are looking for a male with medium length wavey hair.”
Police are also looking for a red van that might have been parked on Washington Street in front of the Bishop Victorian Hotel that same night. It is believed a male and female were in the vehicle and police would like to make contact for questioning.
Currently, the crime is believed to be an isolated incident and there is not a public risk.
At this time, Adams and portions of Washington and Water streets are closed.
