The Port Townsend Police Department is seeking a man and woman as suspects in a possible attempted murder case.
According to a press release from PTSD Public Information Officer Keppie Keplinger, a 28-year-old Port Townsend man was stabbed at Adams and Washington streets Around 11:30 p.m. Sept. 5.
“The male suspect was reported to be about 6 feet tall with medium length wavy hair,” Keplinger said.
A witness told police a man and woman were parked in a red Ford van on Washington Street.
”A witness reported seeing the male suspect and a female companion get into the red van after the stabbing and flee the scene with the female driving the van,” Keplinger said. “Based on this information those two individuals are considered suspects.“
The victim, who “somehow got a ride to Jefferson County Healthcare“ after being stabbed in the stomach and arm, according to Keplinger, is currently at Harborview Medical Center in Seattle in stable condition.
”Police are continuing to seek out and talk with anyone who may have witnessed the incident,” Keplinger said.
According to Port Townsend Police Detective Patrick Fudally, this is an active investigation as they seek the suspect/suspects for attempted murder.
If anyone has any information, they are asked to contact the Jefferson County Dispatch Center at 360-344-9779.
More information will be made available as the investigation progresses.
