The Quilcene Fair of 2017 was graced with plenty of reasons to linger longer, in keeping with its theme, “Quilcene: Still a Great Place to Linger Longer.”
Bright skies greeted Saturday, with the traditional parade and national anthem sung by Anne Gibson opening the fair.
Friends and neighbors posed for a community portrait, then circulated through a variety of food, goods and informational booths, enjoying excellent live music.
Exhibits of produce, crafts and Quilscenery photos showed off local talents.
Carnival rides capped the day.
Sunday morning saw the Quilcene Oyster Races under cloudy skies, and more live music not rained out.
