A 22-year-old Puyallup man was killed late Wednesday night, July 27, after being struck by a semitruck on U.S. Highway 101 north of Brinnon, according to the Washington State Patrol.
David L. McDonald, 57, of Shelton, was driving a 2016 Freightliner tractor pulling a chip trailer northbound at 11:45 p.m., Wednesday, on Highway 101 at milepost 305, 1 mile north of Brinnon.
The semi struck a pedestrian in the lane of travel, identified by the state patrol as Michael P. Moss.
McDonald was uninjured, and was wearing a seatbelt. His vehicle was removed from the scene.
According to WSP, no drugs or alcohol were involved. The cause of the accident and citations are under investigation.
