Jefferson County Sheriff's Office personnel took quick action on suspected drug activity in the Port Hadlock area.

Within the span of a few hours on Sunday, July 19, three arrests were made in separate incidents that involved subjects in possession of what authorities believe to be methamphetamine.

Monday, July 20, deputies investigated the sale-distribution of heroin and methamphetamine within the Irondale area. Tuesday morning, July 21, a search warrant was served at a Port Hadlock residence.

According to a press release from JCSO, deputies located approximately eight grams of what they believe to be methamphetamine and four grams of what is believed to be heroin. Also seized were $1,025 in cash, a digital scale, and packaging commonly utilized to sell controlled substances, according to JCSO Detective Brett Anglin.

William R. Rogers, a 28-year-old Port Hadlock male was arrested for delivery of heroin, and possession with intent to deliver heroin and methamphetamine, according to the JCSO. Rogers was booked into jail at 9:51 a.m. July 21.

Lacey A. Hart, a 22-year-old Port Hadlock female was arrested for delivery of heroin, delivery of methamphetamine, possession of methamphetamine with the intent to deliver, and possession of heroin with the intent to deliver. Hart was booked into jail at 10:20 a.m. July 21.

According to Det. Anglin, Hart also had an outstanding warrant for her arrest stemming from a previous arrest where she had delivered methamphetamine to a confidential informant on five different occasions, four of which were within 1,000 feet of a school zone.

As of Tuesday afternoon, both subjects are in Jefferson County Jail in Port Hadlock, with no bail, awaiting a court appearance.
