Family concerned about missing PT man

Friends and family of Mitchell Hamilton want to get the word out that he’s missing and that they are concerned about him.

Hamilton, 56, was last seen by a friend at the Spruce Goose Cafe on Oct. 20, 2017, according to Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office Detective Joe Nole.

Hamilton had been living in a storage unit in Glen Cove, Nole said.

“He traveled a lot. His landlord went looking for him and found his truck was there [at the storage unit], but he was gone,” Nole said. His wallet wasn’t there, Nole said. “Everything looks like he up and left.”

Because Hamilton is an adult who has traveled in the past and because there are no signs of foul play, Nole said, the sheriff’s office did not issue any urgent requests to the public for assistance in finding Hamilton back in October.

“Right now, there’s nothing to indicate he’s an endangered person,” Nole said.

However, friends and family are concerned about him, especially Hamilton’s mother, who lives in Spokane, and another relative, who lives in Idaho, so he has been entered into law enforcement records as a missing person, Nole said.

Nole added that if Hamilton were to be stopped by law enforcement for any reason, he would be advised that people are looking for him.

The sheriff’s department also has issued a flier with information about Hamilton, who is described as white, 5 foot 11 inches tall with brown hair and blue eyes.

Anyone with information about Hamilton is asked to call Jefferson County Sheriff’s detectives at 360-385-3831.
