The Port Townsend Main Street Program’s Feb. 28 Merchant Coffee Talk focuses on local infrastructure projects.

Laura Parsons, civil engineer for the City of Port Townsend, provides an update on the progress of the Water Street Enhancement Project, which is scheduled for completion in June 2018. Parsons is the project manager.

Christopher Bruning, assistant project engineer for the state Department of Transportation in Port Angeles, is to discuss the State Route 20 paving project scheduled for Jefferson County in the summer of 2018. This is a preservation project to improve the pavement condition and construct ADA-compliant sidewalk ramps. The project begins before the Four Corners intersection and ends at the downtown ferry terminal, where it will tie in to the city’s new construction.

Sam Gibboney, executive director for the Port of Port Townsend, is to present information about the plans to replace the south jetty at Point Hudson.

The coffee talk is set for 8:30-9:45 a.m. at the Cotton Building, 607 Water. The meeting moderator is Kris Nelson, board president of the Port Townsend Main Street Program.

Admission is free for Main Street members, $5 for nonmembers.

Those interested in attending should contact Main Street by Monday, Feb. 26. Email admin@ptmainstreet.org or call the office at 360-385-7911.
