The Jefferson County Farmers Market (JCFM) has announced Amanda Milholland as its next market director, taking over from Will O’Donnell who is departing in late November.
Milholland was raised in Port Townsend and recently returned after spending some time both in the Peace Corps and in Portland, Oregon. She is the sister of Danny Milholland, and daughter of Doug and Nancy.
Milholland has worked for a number of nonprofit organizations in the northwest during the last 10 years in both administrative and development positions. Her massive garden project was featured in Edible Portland magazine.
Milholland brings with her “the exact right combination of applicable professional skills, community connections, and engaging personal presence,” according to current JCFM director Will O’Donnell. He and the JCFM board of directors “are excited to have Amanda take the helm.”
