In celebration of seasonal food, the Port Townsend Saturday Farmers Market is hosting a series of events at the Saturday farmers market at Tyler and Lawrence in the Uptown District.
The first event, “Berries in Abundance,” is set for 9 a.m.-2 p.m., July 16 and includes a demonstration by chef Arran Stark of Jefferson Healthcare and artisan food featuring local berries.
“The berries at the farmers market are so delicious this time of year,” said market director Amanda Milholland. “I am looking forward to tasting what our prepared-food vendors cook up.”
Upcoming events featuring seasonal food include a “Tomato Taste Off,” Sept. 17, and celebrations of kale and winter squash on Oct. 15 and Nov. 12, respectively. More information is available at
