Bergstrom’s Sewing Machine Sales & Repair, formerly located in Port Hadlock, is now open for business at the Uptown Art & Antiques Shop, which opened in February at 1030 Lawrence St.

Steve Bergstrom has been selling and repairing sewing machines since 1968. He currently sells reconditioned Singer, Pfaff, Bernina and other sewing machines. Sewing machine accessories are also to be available.

Antique shop owners Gail and Steve McNealy offer artworks from their Olympic Art Studio, including Gail's new selection of 16 greeting-card designs, printed in Port Townsend. The antique sections of the shop feature Victorian paper goods, vintage jewelry, century-old china, and Americana. The couple has been selling antiques in Jefferson County since 1987.

For questions about sewing machine repair, call 385-5050. Both businesses are open from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., Wednesday through Saturday.
