Priority space for Leader letters goes to subjects of local or regional attention. Letters should be focused on issues, not personalities, and avoid name-calling or unsubstantiated allegations. Letters are subject to editing to meet these standards.
General letters: The length limit is 400 words.
Election letters: To promote many voices during election season, letters on electoral topics should be no more than 200 words. One letter per writer is accepted prior to each election. This applies to candidates, levies, bond issues and resolutions.
All letters are due by 10 a.m. Friday for possible publication in our next issue. Please send or deliver letters to 226 Adams St., Port Townsend, WA 98368 or submit via email at news@ptleader.com. Include your city of residence and phone number for confirmation purposes.
