Auditions

 

Peninsula College seeks one-act plays for its fourth annual springtime Festival of Student-Directed One-Act Plays, May 22-29. All plays submitted to the festival will be reviewed by a panel of judges. Student directors will then select the play they would like to direct for their final project. Shakespeare's Children, a children's acting troupe, holds auditions from 3 to 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, April 22 on the grounds of the PT Library. Actors, acrobats, jugglers, dancers, singers and musicians are sought; beginners are welcome. Scenes from "Midsummer Night's Dream" will be performed starting May 19 and running through the summer. Artist Trust is taking applications for its EDGE Professional Development Program held in two residential cycles - July 5-12 and Aug. 8-15 - for visual artists at Centrum in Port Townsend. This is the only museum dedicated to the tradition and history of the Harbor Defenses of Puget Sound (circa 1897-1969). Adults and teens $2, ages 6-12 $1, immediate family $5, ages 5 and younger and active military are free. Call 385-0373.

Quilcene Historical Museum, 151 E. Columbia St., is open by appointment through April. The museum contains documents, family histories, research materials, artifacts and photos of the Quilcene area.
