However, apparently not my associated blog, which I have slashed and edited six times over two days—but have not been able to get past some form of electronic screen at the Leader that says it appears to be spam. But believe me, it contained nothing irrelevant
So suffice to say, I quoted (as per the illustration) Donald Trump and Mike Pence. Also William Shakespeare and the U. S. Constitution’s First Amendment—which paradoxically concerns Free Speech.
I feel, for instance that Shakespearian comments juxtaposed with Trump’s immigration policies is not irrelevant spam. But this other particular quote may get by this time: “Methinks thou dost protest too much.” That’sa common alternate form adapted from the phrase “The lady doth protest too much, methinks" from Shakespeare's Hamlet. The meaning remains the same: “It is suspected that, because someone is insisting too much about something, the opposite of what he or she is saying must be true.” Consider in this regard, Donald Trump’s endless criticism of the activities of Robert Mueller III, special counsel overseeing an ongoing investigation into Russian interference in the 2016 U.S. presidential election and related matters.—“No collusion, no collusion!”, “Witch hunt,” etc.
The original blog also covered Donald’s return to the matter of those athletes seeking equal justice for Blacks by kneeling during playing of the national anthem.
In all, my usual lengthy blog dealt with things related to the First Amendment to the U. S. Constitution (“Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press . . .”)
Which makes my contribution being turned away all the more curious. Obviously, it’s not human censorship here at the Leader. The electronic glitch may never come to light. Meanwhile, time’s a wastin’ and I will move on without rancor. I will test my other remarks again singularly in future blogs.
