PT Shorts brings the funny Feb. 7

Henry Alford, investigative humorist, legitimate journalist and NPR-proclaimed “guy of letters,” is to attend the PT Shorts readers’ theater at 7:30 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 7 at Key City Public Theatre, 419 Washington St.

Alford has written for the New York Times, Vanity Fair and The New Yorker. His books include “Big Kiss” and “Would It Kill You to Stop Doing That? A Modern Guide to Manners.”

“Alfordpalooza” readers are Amy Sousa and Paul Rice. The program is directed by Key City Public Theatre literary manager Mara Lathrop.

PT Shorts is initiating Second Tuesdays, featuring a repeat performance of PT Shorts on the second Tuesday of every month throughout 2015.

Alford will attend the Saturday-evening performance during Gallery Walk, but not the performance at 7:30 p.m., Tuesday, Feb. 10.

Admission to PT Shorts is free, although donations are accepted.
