A Beatles sing-along invades Pippa’s Real Tea, 5-7 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 13. Leading the singing are the local group Free Radicals and friends.
Inspiration for the sing-along sprang from an evening at Pippa’s when patrons began singing along to each Beatle song performed by the Free Radicals, a band composed of Glen Hellman, Willie Weatherly and “Otis” Otey, who have each been playing since the early ’60s.
“Each of us picked up guitars when we first heard the Beatles,” Otey said. “So, between us, we have over 150 years of experience. We should be really good by now.”
Song sheets are supplied at the free event. Pippa's Real Tea is located at 636 Water St., Port Townsend.
